What Happened to Monawea?

Don't forget to subscribe to iwebis RSS feed. You can also Subscribe to iwebis by Email Thanks for visiting!

What happened to Monawea? Well, lots. I haven’t been much of a blogger lately for a few reasons but the main reason would be because I had to go back to work outside the home. My husband lost his job a few months ago and we have been trying to stay above water. It’s been a difficult time for us but we are managing so far.

I hope still pop in here from time to time and keep this blog updated. Hope you are all doing well.

You can read a little more about how this job lose has affected us on my Time to Budget blog.

I Love cnet! – Best Place to Find Free Downloadable Software – 5 Reasons Why I Love Cnet.

For the past few years I have been using cnet’s download.com for most of my free downloading needs. I am not sure why I never shared this with you all before. Maybe it’s because I figured most people already knew about cnet. But I know that there is a strong likelihood some people don’t already know about the site.

I am not sure where I found out about cnet but I guess that is really not important. The importance is in the amount of useful free and free to try software I have downloaded through cnet. Cnet offers you the ultimate list in downloadable software. PC as well as Mac users can find software that can fit your needs.

5 Reasons Why I Love Cnet Downloads.

  1. All downloads are spyware tested.
  2. You can find the most recent and popular downloads.
  3. You can view user ratings and number of user downloads.
  4. There are many downloads that have editors ratings (usually the cream of the crop)
  5. There are thousands of downloads in all sort of categories. And many downloads are FREE!

Useful free software I have downloaded within the past year.

  1. Desktop iCalender Lite
  2. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
  3. mach-zehnder

  4. Free FLV Converter
  5. AnvSoft Photo Flash Maker
  6. Paint.Net – Very, very useful!
  7. backgammon free casino money free craps game play free black jack craps video poker strategy play black jack online how to win video poker casino game online uk best casino online casino secure online gambling jackpot casino online casino black jack learn to play craps how to win at video poker craps online blackjack casino game online casino betting free on line video poker casino games no download casino online gambling casino play free casino slots video poker machine bonus video poker free on line slots double bonus video poker free video poker games free casinos roulette online craps rules free on line casino rules of craps online casino free money blackjack 21 internet casino how to play craps free casino game download fortunelounge online casino free casino download free casino card game free roulette game free casino play no deposit free money casino internet casino online Primo PDF

I probably downloaded more than just these seven but these are the most useful. If have not already taken advantage of the free and free to try software downloads I highly recommend you visiting download.com.

Queen of Social Network Marketing Update- 21,400 Search Results for monawea

snmbrand22.jpgWhen I first decided to attempted to become the “Queen” of social network marketing I didn’t really know how I was going to determine whether I succeeded or not. The idea of the Queen of Social Network Marketing was to see if social sites could be an effective marketing tool. With a few rules and guidelines set in place for myself I ventured to find out if it could be possible.

I don’t know if I have yet succeeded but I do know that have 21,400 search results (google search results) to my online pen name monawea. Some of the search results are probably not related to social networks but the majority are. I started this branding project around October of 2007 and so far I am pleased with the results since I haven’t really work at it very much.

The social network marketing rules and guidelines:

  1. Use a unique user name (monawea) on all social networks.
  2. Use the same photo/avatar on every network.
  3. Use every respectful opportunity available to promote my websites.
  4. Always contribute useful relevant information to social networks.
  5. Contribute a little bit of personal info with a little bit of business – good balance.
  6. Use a social network status manager (like HelloTxt or Ping.fm)

The result of the project thus far.

  1. 21,400 links to monawea.
  2. мебелиSocial networks are bringing a large portion of traffic to iwebis.

It may be that I have a long way to go before I will be officially considered the “Queen” but I am pleased with the results so far.

Just a side note. When HerProBlog.COM was in the pre-launch advertising stage I only used social media as a marketing tool.  The first day of official launch we received over 900  page views.

My Plans for 2009- A New Year, A New Goal.

Ok, so lately I have been not a very good blogger. I am not sure what exactly happened other than my usually very busy life. I think the lack of blogging officially started when my kids started school. I usually get very busy when my kids start school.

So my goal for 2009 is to return to a more active blogging schedule. I am going to try and follow a schedule and blog on all five of my blogs on a regular basis. I need to take my blogging job more seriously and plan better. I also want to be a more active blog reader again.

I really appreciate my readers and wish you a very Happy and Successful New Year!

If you what to read some of my old posts check out the series I wrote in about what I learned in 2007.

15 Things I Learned In 2007

I’m Having Difficulty Getting Back Into the Blogging Groove

I don’t know if you are like me but sometimes it is difficult for me to not get consumed by the the internet. I think that may be why it is difficult for me to reenter the internet world once I have been away for a while.

For the past month I have been trying to get back into the blogging groove. For some reason it’s been very difficult. Yes, my life is a bit busier but that can’t be the only reason I have been so disconnected.

So, basically what I am trying to say is that I am trying very hard to get back into the blogging groove and hope you will be patient with me.

I am working on an article about Joomla. I am hoping to have it published this week.

Blip.fm- Music, Microblogging and Networking

I have been working on becoming as unproductive as possible so I have now found the solution. Find as many microblogging sites as possible and hang out there all day ;o).

Actually as you may or may not already know, I am working towards becoming the “Queen of Social Network Marketing“. I have been working on this for some time now and I can’t say for certain if it’s working. I am not sure when I will consider my efforts successful but I have been successful at joining a lot of networks.

I suppose when others start calling me the “Queen of SNM” I will have reached my goal ;o).

So if you are into microblogging and like to listen to music, Blip.fm might be a great addition to your distraction list.

Blip.fm offers all the great things social microblogging sites such as twitter, plurk, and jaiku but with the added feature of listening and sharing music. You can friend people with similar music interests and have their music added to your DJ list.

There a few things about Blip.fm that are a little fuzzy to me but overall this social music sharing microblogging platform is pretty cool.
