A place where working moms connect

Yesterday I found a new social community called Work it, Mom! I am not sure when this community launched but they seem to have a decent following and a lot of good discussion. Moms who work at home or in the office can benefit from this social community.

This community offers support, advice and encouragement for the busy working moms across the world. I really like this website because it has a the features that make for a great social community. Members can setup profiles, join and create groups, join and start discussions, read or submit articles (screened by the editors) and ask questions and offer advice.

As you probably already figured out, one of the first things I did was set up a group. I believe groups is an excellent way to gain a following. Most networks allow you to contact all your group members as well. I am not sure if this is one of the features offered on Work it. Mom! but each group does allow you to start discussion. So I started the Professional Women Bloggers. This group is for women bloggers who either are professionals or those that want to become pros.

You will probably find me hanging around this community a lot so visit my profile network with me. Remember you can follow my “Queen of Social Network Marketing” project by subscribing to this blog.

What a great blog. I’ve been studying social media for the last six months from a marketing perspective as well. Have you ever read Cluetrain Manifesto? It’s fascinating! It’s what truly inspired me to start studying it. I just bought Now is Gone which is another highly acclaimed book on the subject. I’ll let you know what I think about it!

P.S. Thanks for starting the group on Work It! Moms!

Thanks Angela! I really appreciate the encouraging words. I will have to look into reading those books you mentioned.

Work it, Mom! I just love that title =). Looks and sounds interesting. I’ll definitely look more into it. Thanks for the heads up.

It’s incredible the number and type of social networking sites springing up each day. But, why the bias? I’m nt sure if there’s anything for the working dads.
