For some reason I have been listening to the words of people more closely lately. I find that some people have the ability to say things that are worth quoting. Why is that? Why do some people possession the ability to offer profound sayings with out even trying?

Anyone, I supposed, can be quoted but those inspirational, life changing words that are said or written by people who are passionate and insightful can last for centuries.

I think there are two reason some people are more quotable than others. For one, quotable people are very passionate. You find many people who are passionate seem to be very clear about what and why they believe. Along with being passionate, quotable people offer useful information and insight with words that are plain to understand but profound in meaning.

Often times a quotable person repeats the statements that they wish to be heard. It seems those statements then become the quotes that are passed down from teacher to student, parent to child or employer to employee. Generational passing down of sayings and quotes is also cross-cultural. Every content, country, city and village across the globe has grabbed the words of persons who can lead, inspire or comfort.

There are far to many people in the world that have something to say but instead stay silent because they feel what they have to say will be judged or rejected. The truth is, you will be judge and rejected by some. This world is full of people with opinions and it would never be possible to be in agreement with everyone. We can not live in fear of rejection because rejection should not be our gauge for influence. It’s in the people that are influenced by what we say that show the true dept of our words.

The point to this article is to encourage you to blog with passion and insight. Not for the purpose of being quoted but for the purpose of being able to positively change and influence others. I hope that my words can offer usefulness and insight to people as well.

It would be wonderful to have myself quoted by someone. :D Popular people like Einstein and Shakespear have the more popular quotes.

I guess the more intelligent you are the more likely you will be quoted. I think the main reason people decide to quote others is because they have influenced people. Thanks for stopping by Grace.

Nice post, Monawea! I just have to agree with you some way. There are many out there having something to say, but who are afraid of being critised thereby making them to keep to themselves.
