This is just a quick update on the Website Makeover Project. One of the first things I instructed the clients of this project to do was to get a good stats tracker. Of course the best free tracker available on the net is Google Analytics. Analytics in now installed on the website and I will be reporting traffic details soon.
Much of the past traffic to this site came from another very popular high traffic website that reports recent metal news. My goals with for this website is to grab the visitors from the other website and make them returning readers. I have suggested that On Track Magazine create a blog for the interviews, reviews and news updates. By doing this visitors can subscribe directly to the content offered on OnTrackMagazine.com. Plus Dave, the author of the website will be able to keep in closer contact with On Track Magazine readers.
I have assigned Dave to the task of finding a free Wordpress blog theme that he feels matches his website. I have also offered to make minor adjustments in color and layout if need be.
