#6 - Successful blogging is an art form not a formula
I may be going against the grain when I say that successful blogging is an art form and not a formula but this is what I believe. A formula consists of a set of ingredients and actions that produce a desired result. To some degree I think that do resembles a successful blog but what I have found this past year is that blogging better resembles an art form.
The idea that blogging is a formula takes away from the human side of blogging. If we see blogging as an art form we can recognize the need for humanizing our blogs instead of becoming disconnected or only out to make money. Following basic steps in achieving success is necessary but we must not forget to give our blogs individuality by offering readers our personalities. The artists side of blogging comes with giving blogs a individual voice. There is no formula that can offer your voice because it is only within a individual that it can be found.
