#11 Write Down Your Ideas.

Whether you have a post idea or an idea for a new blog the chances that you will remember them after time has passed are slim. Even if you do remember an idea after time has passed it probably won’t be exactly the way you played it out in your head the first time.
By writing down your ideas you can refer to them later and even expand on the original idea. I have a large stack of paper where I have written down ideas about blogging I have had over the last year. This list has truly helped me to grow. I have had good and bad ideas come out of that list.
The point here is that if you don’t write down your ideas then you might loose a great idea.

yeah, it’s funny at the time of the idea you think you will NEVER forget it, but like you stated you usually will…I always write my ideas down and goals just to keep myself honest and stay on track…happy holidays and best of luck in 08

    Hi Mona,
I carry a small notebook in my purse for jotting down all those great ideas which can as easily disappear as appear.

I also keep one beside my bed so I can jot down the idea rather than having to start hunting for some paper and pen. By that time I’m sure that bright idea would have well and truly gone.

Now all I have to do is find the time to put them into action!

@Matt - If you are anything like me I run through new ideas at least 5 times a day. Every time I think I won’t forget but I have learned that I do forget so writing them down really does help me :). Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

@Gaida - Christmas of 2006 my family bought me a day planner that was small enough to fit in my purse but big enough for me to feel comfortable writing it. It was one of the best gifts I have ever received. I jot ideas down in that planner all the time now ;)
