Successful bloggers all have something in common- they are recognized by the rest of the blogosphere as authorities in their niche. How they reached that position had mainly to do with growing in knowledge of that niche as well as allowing time to pass.
Many people enter into the blogosphere thinking that blogging is quick way to make a buck. Once it is discovered that without working at it and planning, a buck is all they are able to make, they usually give up.
If one starts blogging with the intention of becoming an authority in their blog topic then success is more likely to follow. I have watch bloggers come an go other the year and a half that I have been blogging. Usually I can recognize the bloggers that are striving for authority and those that are not by their content and growth (not in subscription or income numbers but self growth). They also tend to be the bloggers that are stick with it for years instead of those that give up too early.
