Google Page Rank Teasing is Making Me Sick! - I Have Decided To Move On

Don't forget to subscribe to iwebis RSS feed. You can also Subscribe to iwebis by Email Thanks for visiting!

I started this blog about 7 months ago and iwebis acquired it’s first pagerank only last month. The update last month gave iwebis a PR 3 but now once again iwebis is back to a zero. At one point it was back up to a PR 3 but now they have decided I am not worthy of a page rank at all. What does this tell me about Google and it’s page rank?

It so happens that iwebis acquired readership, traffic and advertisers without Google’s help in the first place. Though I do realize that a higher page rank would increase traffic to my site I am trying to view this situation from a different perspective. It seems that many webmasters who are aware that higher page rank can benefit the search engine traffic have focussed so intently on this form of marketing that they have missed all other possibilities.

Like I stated before, most of the traffic I have received had nothing to do with Google. Instead I have focussed more on acquiring traffic through social media. Within the first week of launching this site iwebis had a 1000 hits in one day. Did Google bring this traffic to me, no. Within the first week of launching Google didn’t even know iwebis existed.

It is true that if you are ranking high with the Google search engines traffic will come to your site more easily if you have all the right keywords that the one searching is looking for. However, you can receive a very good amount of traffic through social media websites as well. The main reason I decided to do the Queen of Social Network Marketing project was to see how much traffic can come from marketing through social networks and other social media sites. Sites such as Bumpzee, Stubleupon and BlogCatalog been very helpful in bring traffic to iwebis.

The results learned from the Queen of Social Network Marketing project is not just for me either. I want others to be able to gain more knowledge so that we can all shift to a knew style of marketing without having to depend on Google and there approval or disapproval.

I don’t know what the future for Google is but I have a feeling it’s going to be difficult for them regain the respect they had earned previously after the recent page rank mess. People are now beginning to look for more options for marketing and more options for searching.

    Hi Mona,
I’ve also taken a dive in PR rank on more than one site. Very frustrating.

You’ll find great free tutorials on Stumbleupon & more! http://thirtydaychallenge.com/ by Frank Kern.

And the Stomper Net guys have done it again with a free video on creating natural traffic

(Looks like that plugin was affecting your comments - up and going again!)
