I am one of those people that is constantly coming up with new ideas. Yeah, one of those people. I am a little like Lucy Ricardo, in I Love Lucy only I usually don’t get myself in too much trouble and my husband is usually very supportive of my ideas. However, I do sometimes get carried away with my ideas and don’t know when enough is enough. My blogging obsession has caused me to constantly wonder if I should start another.
Since I have a limited amount of time I have to be very careful about what I add to my plate. During the day I homeschool my two oldest kids and chase after my toddler, try to keep the house clean (note I said try) as well as a hundred other responsibilities all throughout the day. My first priority is the health of my family (mental, spiritual and physical) so creating balance is very important for me.
Right now I have 4 active blogs and two still in development. What I have found is that it is very difficult to make any changes to the others and keep up with daily blogging. This is one reason why I have decided to add communities to two of my blogs. Not sure if it is going to turn out like I expect but I am very hopefully that the communities will offer more member generated content. I also hope to include guest posts and co-authors to reduce some of the posting responsibilities.
So what is the point of this post? Well, I was hoping to get some feedback from you.
How many blogs are you authoring? Are you finding it difficult to keep up with a multiple blog schedule?

There was a time when I used to manage more than 10 blogs (security, artificial intelligence, music, PHP, blogging, design, etc.) and soon I realized that I can’t manage so many blogs when I’ve only 5 or 6hrs in a week to spend on blogging.
I had 7 MyBlogLog communities in the start but I removed 4 of ‘em from my MyBlogLog profile, sent one in private mode and haven’t even visited a blog in the past 2 or 3 months. A few months ago, this blog had 84 members.
Now I find it hard to manage even a single blog (my main blog) ’cause blogging was never something I wanted to do seriously. No matter how hard I try, I can’t save more than 6hrs/week for blogging/tumbling/social networking/etc.
The purpose of writing all this is to give you a hint that try to make only one blog as popular as you can. You should invest your total blogging time in one blog instead of managing 4 or 5 blogs. This kind of blogging practice is pretty profitable in the long run.
In the start, it really feels good to see that you’ve so many active blogs, people are visiting and leaving comments but later when the blogs start getting more attention, you’ll find it pretty hard to keep up with all of ‘em, i.e., if you’re the only author who writes for so many blogs.
For your question, I think I’ve already made my situation clear.
As outlined on the F&Q at http://www.burnadsense.com you can never have enough websites that auto build and multiply your efforts. Including weblogs, that are …. uahm, not really weblogs.
Thanks for the input ;)Avinash and Never Enough!
