Hanging Around The Blogosphere and Social Networking- A Traffic Increase Tip

Don't forget to subscribe to iwebis RSS feed. You can also Subscribe to iwebis by Email Thanks for visiting!

When I started iwebis a few months ago my goal was to ‘hang around the blogoshpere’ as apart of my traffic increasing methods. I ended up not having as much time as I would have liked to dedicate to this method. When iwebis was first launched I did dedicate a few hours a week to ‘hang around the blogopshere’ which I think had a lot to do with the first months success.

My hope is to get back to my original plan and dedicate one day a week to social networking and hanging around the blogosphere.

Hanging around the blogosphere tips.

  • Read and comment on other blogs on a regular basis. Not only will you stay connect to the blogosphere you can also increase your traffic by offering others readers the chance to click on your comment link.
  • Visit blogs related to your niche that are using MyBlogLog or BlogCatalog widgets. The MyBlogLog widgets not only track you visitors your site and displays it on your site but it also displays your widget pic on MyBlogLog. So by visiting sites that have the widget you are increase your visibility.

Social networking tips.

  • Join communities on MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, Spicy Page and Bumpzee. I plan to dedicate one day a week to join communities. I do not plan on leaving spammy comments and don’t using spam techniques to gain traffic.
  • Join forums related to your blog’s niche. I have hesitated to do this because being an active valuable member of a forum can be time consuming. However, if I join one or two high traffic forums and contribute a few posts once a week, it could help increase traffic through my forum signature. Again, posting spammy content is not recommend.

At this point I think I will be dedicating Monday’s to this traffic increasing method, . This may also mean that I will be dropping one day of posting or possibly offering some “linky love” type posts on the off days. Tuesdays will probably be my off day and you are likely not to see posts for that day once I start networking.

As always, I plan to keep you posted on the success or failure of this traffic increase method.
