iwebis Progress Update

If you haven’t notice I have made some changes to iwebis recently. The site meter button no longer shows the visitor count, the MyBlogLog widget is now in sidebar #1, and I have included contentlink advertising. I made these changes because I felt it would be better for my readers as well as for generating income on this site.

I changed the site meter button because the visitor count has been low lately and I felt it is better to show positive then negative. By that I mean if iwebis was receiving a large amount of visitors a day it would be something to promote but since the count has reduced I would rather not include the count. I do however want to allow those interested in viewing the visitor count the ability to do so.

I decided to move the MyBlogLog widget from the header to the sidebar because I didn’t feel that it looked very good to non MyBlogLog users or those that are not logged in.

I decided to include Kontera’s contentlink advertising because I have experienced from my other sites that Kontera is more profitable. I do realize some people don’t like Kontera so that is why I have decided to just test is out for a month. If the results show that it has not reduced iwebis readership and increase iwebis income then Kontera stays.

I have noticed that the Feedburner feed reader counter button is not very accurate. I goes up and down just about every day. One day it will be 75 and the next day 45 then back up to 72. It’s really bothering me. What is the point in having a feed counter if it’s inaccurate? I may get ride of the counter.

So that it’s for the iwebis progress update. I will keep you posted about any other changes.
