This article is part four of the review of sponsored reviews/paid posting. The first article I wrote last week gave an overview of sponsored posting and why it’s not a good for your blog to become a ’sponsored posting focused’ blog. Part two of the series of articles reviewed the higher paying sponsored review/paid posting companies. Part three gave tips on how to establish a review price advertisers will be willing to pay. This post is part four and probably the last of the series.

In today’s article I will be offering a chance to look at a blog that has used sponsored reviews/paid posting wisely. The content of the sponsored reviews as well as non-paid posts offer useful information that can benefit the blog readers.

John Chow dot com is probably one of the most active in the sponsored reviewers. His price is now set at $400 a review with ReviewMe. There is a reason advertisers are willing to pay him $400 a review. From what I have observed John Chow offers detailed reviews with lots of screen shots and for the most part all the review that I have read have been useful. The fact that John Chow has a huge following of readers, PR6 , is on Technorati’s Top Favorites list, and has a Alexa score of less than 20,000 has of course a lot to do with the price that advertisers are will to pay him. However it is also likely that the advertisers appreciate the detailed and constructive reviews.

There are some things I would do different if I were John Chow. I would not include the ReviewMe button with price for sponsoring a review. I would also cut out ReviewMe all together and encourage advertisers to reach me directly. Unless he has cut a deal with ReviewMe that I don’t know about, they are taking half of his $400. What a ripoff! It seems he has a big enough following to have people wanting to contact him directly. But of course, I am not John Chow.

My plan was to include more blogs that utilized sponsored reviews/paid blogging as an income source but it’s not as easy as it seems. Yes, it’s easy to find sponsored reviews but not as easy to find those that have integrated these types of reviews in a seamless fashion and disclosing it as openly as John Chow does . So instead of continuing my search I will just leave you with John Chows example. If you know of a blog that you feel has set a good example as well, please leave a comment with a link.

So this completes the sieres on Make Money Online - Sponsored Review/Paid Posting REVIEW. I hope the information I offered was helpful to you.
