I was supposed to post the progress report yesterday but I forgot
. So here is progress report for week 4. Traffic has slowed some but I am not surprised. Normally it takes time to acquire regular readers and traffic. This will be the last weekly update. From now on I will give a month progress report update (probably at the end of the month).
My progress predictions were that iwebis would have an Alexa score of 100,000 or less. I missed it by about 50,000 but it’s still good news. My other prediction was that iwebis would have a PR of 2 or 3 by Google’s next update. I don’t think they updated yet so I will keep you posted when that changes.
So, here is week 3 progress report. The purpose of these reports is the share information that can help other bloggers learn from iwebis successes and sometimes failures.
Tracking Start Date: May 1st, 2007
Reports from start date > week 1 >week 2 > week 3 > week 4 (Update in bold letters).

I don’t know about you but I have enjoyed observing progress. This is excellent progress for a blog that launched only a month ago. Any traffic iwebis received was from a natural buzz. I did not purchase any ads or sponsored reviews. I will be posting a 1 month wrap up post with in a few days. My hope is that any progress I make with iwebis can be learned and repeated on your own blog.
Income Report
All Income Reports will be posted on Time To Budget once a month. Next report will be on May 31st.

You just missed the Google update when you launched. I guess the next one will be around July /August. Your backlinks should be available before then I would have thought.
The feed subscribers will fluctuate on a daily basis: It’s mentioned on a FAQ at Feedburner. Their trend graph is probably more interesting: ie are you going up?
Looking good

Thanks for the information Chris. I was wondering if I had just missed the update.
What may (or may not) be interesting is if you choose a page rank predictor and track that every update. These things are not that accurate but it could be instructive to see how they got on.
At the last update, my PR 4 blog was supposed to rise to 5, 6 and even 8 (!) when I checked at different times - guess what it stayed a 4
iWebtools is supposed to be the most accurate….
I have tried to use those PR predictors and they have never come even close to what actually happens. I think going from a PR0 to a PR 4 is fairly easy but then jumping over to the 5 and 6 side is a bit harder. Most blogs that I have seen with a PR 5 or above have been active for at least a year. Thanks for the input
You say you have another blog, do you credit those readers with some of your relatively quick rise? My blog was started in May officially, but I didn’t start promoting until June, and kept track of ratings and such in July. So I feel like I am in week 2 myself! I’m trying to rise but it is an everyday saga.
@ cooliojones - Actually I have a few blogs and did get some traffic from them but it most of it was from the Mass Buzz Experiment.
