Future of Blogging - Kids Will Earn More Money Than Parents

Don’t get left behind, follow the changing blogosphere. Do you realize how many kid bloggers there are out in the blogosphere these days? I don’t mean these kid bloggers are writing about trikes and bikes or bubble gum and ice cream either. These kids are writing better content than many adult authored blogs. Content about SEO, making money online, computers and other tech talk.

After reading blogs like Techzi and carlocab I realized these kids are special. Not all kids have what it takes to start blogging with such great content at such a young age. Kid bloggers offering good content have the potential of making an income that will make their parents envious. Many kids have the intelligence, drive, and perseverance that should be emulated. I believe that the kids that have these qualities have the potential to set themselves up for a good financial future.

If you think about it a kid that starts blogging at 11 or 12 can have an established, high traffic, high reader base blog by the time they graduate High School. Just the acquired blogging and seo knowledge alone could get them a job right out of High School. On the other hand the blog itself could be making enough to support them and then some.

I think the biggest hurdle for kid bloggers to overcome is the “aww, he’s just a kid” response that adults may have towards their content. But I encourage those of you who may have the tendency to have this reaction to recognize that these kids have been using computers since they were probably two years old. My own kids started playing computer games before they were two years old and knew how to use a mouse by the time they were three. How old were you when you started using computers? Do you get my point. Computers and how they work is something that comes naturaly to most kids. The ability to type, search the net, design myspace pages, and find content is all part of growing up.

So should we be surprised that 11 year olds are blogging and making money? I believe we should embrace it, encourage it (provided they follow blog safety) and learn from these up and coming professional kid bloggers.

Here are a few great articles by some very intelligent kid bloggers.

Yup I have to agree that age is starting to become a less of a determining factor when it comes to being successful. Experience and the ability to adapt to change is key.

I think sometimes there is too much focus on blogging to make money, but I guess I only say that because I’m new at it. I wouldn’t mind enough sponsors to get a Sony videocam. :)
I like the chance to share real opinions and help people make decisions or find information. I think the job that Carl has done is great, but I wonder how many blogs can be about that before they are all posting about the same things. It’s a great way for a kid to be creative though. Both Carl and David are in inspiration.
