It was a busy day for me yesterday. I spent much of the day updating the BlogCatalog Mass Buzz Experiment participants list. I visited every article/post so if you have a BlogCatalog or MyBlogLog widget you should have seen my profile picture.
I just want to thank everyone who participated in the BlogCatalog Mass Buzz Experiment yesterday. I would like to know if this experiment increased your traffic at all. Please include increase in visitor count if you have that information. I also realized this experiment should help your Technorati authority ranking because iwebis has now linked to your blog.
Let us know how you think this experiment may have helped your blog (if it has). I am predicting by the next Google page rank update iwebis will have at least a PR3. I can’t say this for certain but this is my guess. So if you have a lower page rank this experiment might also help increase your PR.
This experiment is one that should continuing ‘buzzing’ for at least a few days. If you haven’t already please Stumble as many of the articles in the participants list as you can. So keep us posted about any information you have learned through this experiment.
Later today (or evening) I should be posting about how this experiment affected BlogCatalog.
Update:
Well, I have no new information for you regarding the mass buzz experiment. BlogCatalog has not yet contacted me with any information. This either means there was nothing to report or they just haven’t had a chance to email me. I will keep you updated with any new information that is given to me.Â

I was thinking yesterday that an experiment like this must make for a busy day for you. Thanks for putting in the effort. It was (still is?) fun and the iwebis community is SO AWESOME!
Looks like you created some buzz. Gave you a “fav” over at Technorati. Stop at my new blog to show some support.

Thanks Mona…this blog is only a couple of weeks old and I need your support.
I posted my buzz on 3 of my blogs. One post got 188 hits, another got 278 hits and 317 on the third so far. Some could be from StumbleUpon because I noticed you stumbled at least one of them. Trying to figure out actual referrers for each separate story is too much work because all three of my websites have more than blogs on them and they all get a lot of hits. One had over 6000 unique visitors and over 19,000 page hits so far this month. I don’t have enough time to sort through where the hits are coming from for each page. I think it worked well for me. I have been adding all participants buzz stories to my StumbleUpon page. I am curious how it is working out for them. Still have more of the late entries to stumble so the full results will be lingering on I’m sure.
Hey Mona,
Monday was a huge day for us, the most traffic we’ve ever seen and it seems to be sustaining. about a 25% increase in site traffic compared to the week before. we also saw approximately a 25% increase in new users that day. So overall i think the experiment did a great job at highlighting our community and will continue to have an impact. We really appreciate all the work you’ve done.
There you go Mona…some validation. Congrats.
RTenalio,
I just found your comment in the spam catcher. Sorry it didn’t get posted sooner. Thanks for sharing your traffic information with us. I Stumbled every link that was on the list. Some had already had be ‘Discovered’ but I gave an ‘I like it’ to all of them.
