For several days in a row my FeedBurner counter has been within the top 13 clicked on links according to MyBlogLog stats. However the counter still shows only 1 reader. I know I have to have more than one reader. I also knew there was a plugin somewhere out there that could help me. So off to search the web I went.
I found out that FeedBurner has ‘adopted’ an existing Wordpress plugin and renamed it FeedSmith. This plugin is supposed to forward all your feed traffic to FeedBurner. But I downloaded, uploaded and activated and nothing seemed to change. I am not sure if I supposed to allow more time for it to update or not. With the instant world of the web it’s seems like I shouldn’t have to wait but, who knows?. Does anyone know the answer to my FeedBurner FeedSmith question?
Through my search I also found out that it is quit easy to fake your subscriber counter. This makes me wonder how many websites I have visited with fake subscriber counts. According to Matt Coddington from Net Business Blog it is also just as easy to find out if someone is cheating.
