iwebis Progress Report Week One - Wow! What a week!

I always knew social networking was the best way to gain traffic but not until today did I realize how fast it could create traffic. As I originally stated on my iwebis Progress page I wanted to see how fast a website/blog could become popular using social networking. StumbleUpon and BlogCatalog drove most visitors to this site. After announcing the BlogCatalog Mass Buzz Experiment yesterday iwebis received over 1,000 hits. BlogCatalog sent out a mass shout-out to all it’s members that linked to my post.

iwebis also has been included in the Top 5 Blogs at the End of 2007 for Internet and Technology. This completely surprised me because of how young iwebis is. I never expected a nomination. Vote for iwebis!

iwebis is a blog that I hope will offer readers information that will help them improve their own blog traffic and content. Follow iwebis progress and find out what works and what doesn’t work in relation to gaining blog popularity. My plan is to update progress weekly for at least the first 3 months. The best way to keep track of this progress is to subscribe to iwebis by Email.

Progress Predictions

I have some progress predictions I would like to share with you.

1. Alexa Score will be in the 100,000 or less by months end.
2. Google Page Rank will be at least a 2 probably a 3 at next update (Google Update).

I don’t want to make any more predictions because you might start thinking I am cocky or psychic Actually there are some patterns I have seen with some of my other sites that brought me to these predictions. We will see what happens.
